I pushed myself further into the corner, trying to seperate from the crowd of people. The air was thick with cigarette smoke. I coughed again and cursed Christy silently. She knew I hated places like this, but just like everytime before, she wouldn't take 'no' for an answer. She will beg and plead for hours. In a situation like this, I have two choices. Listen to her pout and give a guilt trip all night or go along to shut her up. Trust me, if you knew her, you would go too. Shortly after we arrived at her usual club, she disappeared with a tall, dark haired man with deep, dark eyes. "I have a few friends..." he began to say as he adjusted the hat on his head. I coward under his stare and declined. I watched them disappear through the back exit, and sighed. That was over an hour ago. I looked around at the unfamiliar faces and decided it was time to go. I refused to be her babysitter yet again. I honestly think that is what I am to her and it's probably what she tells people.

'Oh, her?' She inserts giggle here. 'Well, she keeps me out of trouble and takes me home when I forget where I live.'

"Well, not anymore, my dear friend." I say to no one and push my way through the crowd. "I've had it!"

The air outside felt amazing. I inhaled deeply a few times, trying to clear my head. The guilt of leaving was starting to get to me.

"A pretty girl like you shouldn't be walking alone." A voice chided behind me.

"Great...things just went form bad to worse." I mummbled to myself. I turned as he stepped from the side of the building, the shadows concealed his face.

"Some guys prey on young girls." He laughed slightly.

'And he's probably one of them.' I thought. "Leave me alone. I've had a terrible night and I'm not in the mood to stand here and play games with you." I tried to sound brave, but my voice quivered. He finally moved into the light and the image of a scruffy brute was replaced by his innocent face, soft eyes, and a mass of curly hair. He approached me slowly and traced a finger down my cheek as he smiled.

"I would *love* to show you the kind of games I like to play." He whispered. Before I realized what was happening, his mouth covered mine. I pushed him, trying to free myself, but his arms held me firmly. Betraying me, my body began to respond. He tasted so sweet. So knee weakening sweet, my hands went to his shoulders to help keep myself steady. Then, just as suddenly as everything happened. It stopped.

"Maggie!" Christy's voice rang loud in my head. "Are you listening to me? Are you coming or not?" She towered over me, hands on hips. I sighed heavily as I looked up at her.

"Sure, Chris. Let me get my jacket."
